Mustang Talk

Recently 1370 (Leven) Squadron had a visit from a member of the public talking about the Mustang fighter plane. He spoke about the history of it in fife, along with the stories behind the plane itself. It was an excellent night, definetly one for the books. we hope to see him soon for an astronomy chat  in late September. 

Leadership Command Task pt.1

Cadets were busy tonight as they were involved in a training excercise for Cpl C Pentland to help improve his leadership skill with the use of SMEAC and FALA. They constructed a tripod which had to suspend a tyre. 

Squadron Standown

The Squadron will be on active standown as forth from the 1st July to the 15th July. Ensure, cadets, to check your email and keep up to date with Drill etc. See you guys when we return, blues first night back for squadron Standown.

Trophy Night

On the night of the AFI, some cadets were awarded the different annual trophies that are up for grabs. Sqdrn Ldr McAdam was there to present them to the cadets.

Sports Cadet of the Year -Sgt Robert Gilchrist

Best New Recruit of the Year- Cdt Lauren Macdonald

Best Cadet of the Year- Cdt Ross Ballantyne

Leadership Trophy- Sgt Robert Gilchrist

Best cadet uniform- Cdt Sophie Elder

Congratulations to all who reieved a trophy and those who didn't recieve one, well done regardless, you all put in 100% effort and we are Grateful for that; at least you now know whats up for grabs next year, all the best, keep trying yor hardest at cadets and you WILL recieve one.

Squadron annual Formal Inspection night

1370 Leven Squadron recentely was visited by Sqdrn Ldr Mcadam and Wing Commander Wallace, on the night the cadets were undertaking several activities such as First Aid, Radio and drill training. FS Russell accomadated the officers and showed them around the sqadron whilst chatting and discussing the squadrons future goals for the upcoming year ahead. Sqdrn Ldr mcadam and Wing Commander Wallace was chatting to everal cadets asking what they want to acheive, the officers were keen to get alot of the oppurtunities started and completed.

FS Russell has a long year ahead for him to reach those target however with the help of the staff and NCO's, he will acheive those targets and much, much more. FS Russell is a keen, fit O.C and is always saying and living upto his famous saying 'its all about maximising oppurtunitis', thats exactly what he plans to do.

Radio communicators badges awarded!

Congratulations, to Cpl S Lowe and Cdt S Elder who were recently awarded there Air cadet radio communicators badge. They have both worked very hard during parade times and out with cadets to ensure the best possible results. 18 months training was needed, this involved participating in both weekend and week long courses as well as completing 6 modules which were needed to have a thorough and detailed understanding of radio communications.

Well done, you should be proud.
